🕹️ How to play

  1. Set the range, players and who plants the bomb: Pick the bomb range (default 1–100, or use the presets / inputs for 1–50 or 1–1000), the player count (2–12, used for turn order and "who got bombed"), and whether the app plants the bomb randomly (default, fairest) or a player sets it by hand (anti-peek flow). Tap "Plant the bomb".
  2. Drag the fuse to guess a number in range: A big label shows the closed interval the bomb sits in (endpoints included). Drag the burning fuse marker, nudge with ±, or type a number, then tap "Guess!". Whoever's turn it is guesses; pass the one phone around by seat.
  3. Read higher/lower and watch the range shrink: A miss tells you whether the bomb is higher or lower: guess low and the range climbs above your number, guess high and it drops below. Burnt-out fuse sections grey out and the surviving band keeps tightening. Pass the phone to the next player.
  4. Hit the bomb and the guesser drinks: Whoever guesses the exact bomb triggers a 💥 explosion; the screen reveals the seat and the bomb number, with the default penalty "Take a drink". Tap "Play again" for a fresh bomb.

📖 Rules & variants

Core loop: the app secretly plants a bomb in your range (default 1–100) with a shared seedable RNG - nobody can see it, only the surviving closed interval shows. Players take turns guessing an integer in range: an exact hit ends the round; a miss shows higher/lower and narrows the range to the other side of the guess (excluding the guessed number), tightening until someone hits it. The bomb lives only in memory and never touches storage, so records can't be inspected to cheat.

Narrowing and endpoints: guess too low and the lower bound rises to your guess + 1; too high and the upper bound drops to your guess − 1, with the excluded fuse section burning out. Either endpoint can be the bomb and is fully reachable. When the range collapses to a single number, that number must be the bomb - the next guess is a guaranteed boom.

Players and turns: 2–12 players rotate clockwise by seat, one guess per turn. The seat that hits the bomb is "the one who got bombed", used for the penalty and the optional local tally. More players over a wider range drag out the suspense; two players is a tense head-to-head.

Penalties and variants: the hit penalty is "take a drink" (a graded dare bank is coming to the English version; for now the app only issues the default drink). Variants include custom ranges (1–50 is faster, 1–1000 is a slow burn) and manual bomb planting (one player sets it via the anti-peek flow). Chains and doubling are verbal house rules; the app only judges the hit.

Compliance: this game is for entertainment only; it contains alcohol themes, so please drink responsibly - not for minors. No real-money betting, no online multiplayer or accounts, no dangerous or crude penalties. Fully client-side with no server, no download, no sign-up - everyone shares one phone, and a refresh simply starts a new round.

❓ FAQ

How do you play Number Bomb?
The app hides a bomb in 1–100 and 2–12 players take turns guessing a number; each miss shows higher or lower and shrinks the range, and whoever guesses the bomb drinks. You pass one phone by seat, and the tightening range makes every guess more tense.
What are the rules of Number Bomb?
Guess an integer inside the current range: too low pushes the floor above your guess, too high drops the ceiling below it, closing in on the hidden bomb. Endpoints can be the bomb and are hittable, and when only one number is left the next guess is a certain boom.
What are the drinking penalties in Number Bomb?
The person who hits the bomb takes a drink - that's the default penalty the app issues today on the English version (a graded dare bank is on the way). Until then it's easy to add house-rule dares verbally, like naming someone to drink with you, performing to skip, or answering a truth.
How many players is Number Bomb good for?
Anywhere from 2 to 12 works - two players is a tense duel, more is louder and slower. This page rotates 2–12 players by seat and shows which seat got bombed, making penalties easy to settle.
What range should you set in Number Bomb?
1–100 is the classic and takes about 6–7 guesses to corner the bomb. Set 1–50 for a faster round or 1–1000 for a long burn; presets and an input let you customize, with a max span of 100,000.
How is Number Bomb different from a normal guess-the-number game?
A normal guessing game rewards guessing right; Number Bomb turns the correct guess into hitting a mine and taking a penalty. The fun is the suspense of the range narrowing and passing the phone - it's a party drinking game, not a race to be first.
