🕹️ How to play

  1. Everyone opens the page and enters one code: A card is dealt as soon as the page loads, so you can play with zero setup. To give the whole room the same prompts, the host opens Settings, taps Show code and puts the 4-digit code on screen; everyone else types it in Settings and taps Deal new card. Same prompts, different square positions on each phone.
  2. Tap a square, ask the question, write their name: Each square opens a panel with the full prompt and a ready-made question such as “Do you play an instrument? For how long?”. When someone fits, type their name and tap Sign — the square gets a stamp and keeps the name. By default one person can only sign one square (two on the small 3×3 card), so you have to talk to more people.
  3. Complete a row, column or diagonal for bingo: A full line pops up a BINGO! card listing every name on it with the matching trait. Tap Show the host to blow it up full-screen so the host can check it. Bingo doesn't end your round — keep going for a second line or a full blackout.
  4. End the round, read the recap, play again: Tap End round (tap again to confirm) or let the timer run out to see the recap: how many people you met, how many lines, and which traits belong to whom. Play again deals a new code and new prompts with all names cleared.

📖 Rules & variants

Human bingo rules: everyone gets a card of squares describing experiences, hobbies or habits. Find a person who matches a square and write their name in it — you can't sign yourself. Any full row, column or diagonal is a bingo. Whoever calls bingo first and passes the host's check wins; prizes are up to the host, the page doesn't pick winners.

Card size follows group size: 4–6 players get a 3×3 card with a free center square and up to 2 squares per person; 7–12 players get a 4×4 card with 1 square per person; 13 or more get a 5×5 card with a free center and 1 square per person. The Relaxed switch (up to 2 per person) can be turned on any time without erasing names.

How the same person is detected: names are compared ignoring spaces, letter case and full-width characters, so “Amy”, “ amy ” and “AMY” count as one person. Once someone hits the limit, their name is refused with a hint to ask someone else.

Swapping a prompt: after the first 60 seconds you can swap an unsigned square — once on 3×3, twice on 4×4, three times on 5×5. The new prompt has the same difficulty and only changes your own card, so save swaps for squares nobody in the room fits.

Question mix: each card blends common, medium and rare prompts (a 4×4 card has 5 common, 8 medium and 3 rare). The 127 original prompts come in four sets — General, Classmates, Coworkers and Family — and stick to experiences, hobbies and habits. Nothing about money, relationships, bodies or age.

Timed rounds and house rules: pick a 5, 8 or 10 minute limit; it counts real time, keeps running if the phone is locked, and turns red in the last minute. Popular house rules are prizes for the first three bingos, blackout-only wins, or one follow-up question per signature. Tip: warm up on common squares and ask people which of their squares you can sign — trading signatures is the fastest route.

❓ FAQ

How do you play human bingo?
Everyone gets a card, finds people who match the squares and writes their names in; a full row, column or diagonal is bingo. On this page the card is dealt instantly, each square comes with a question you can read out, and a bingo shows a check card for the host before you keep playing.
What are good human bingo questions for adults?
Good prompts ask about experiences, hobbies and habits, mixed from common to rare — “loves spicy food”, “plays an instrument”, “can solve a Rubik's cube”. This page ships 127 original prompts in General, Classmates, Coworkers and Family sets and avoids money, relationships, bodies and age.
How many people do you need for human bingo?
Four is enough: the 4–6 people option deals a 3×3 card with a free center where each person may sign two squares. Groups of 7–12 get a 4×4 card and 13+ get a 5×5 card, so everyone still has to meet several people to finish a line.
How do you stop human bingo players just collecting signatures without talking?
Limit how many squares one person can sign and make every square need a real conversation. Here each person can sign only one square by default, every square comes with a question to ask, and the bingo check card lists name and trait so the host can spot-check one.
Is human bingo a good icebreaker for work meetings?
Yes — pick the Coworkers set and a 5 or 8 minute timer. Everyone uses their own phone, types the same code to get the same prompts, and ends up talking to several colleagues, which beats a round of introductions for new teams and all-hands warm-ups.
How do you check a human bingo winner?
Use the check card: the bingo pop-up lists every name on the line with its trait, and Show the host makes it full-screen. The host picks one or two squares and asks those people to confirm on the spot — if they can't, the line doesn't count.

⚠️ Human Bingo runs entirely on your own phone. Names you sign stay in this browser only and are never uploaded; you can wipe them from the recap. Winners and prizes are decided by the host.
