Company Raffle Draw
Paste your names, set 3rd, 2nd and grand prizes, and roll them on the big screen — past winners drop out, no-shows get a one-seat redraw
🕹️ How to play
- How to set up a raffle with employee names: The page opens with a ready-to-draw sample: 36 names, a third prize for 5, a second prize for 3 and a grand prize for 1. Tap “Setup” and paste your list into the big box, one person per line; ID, name and department copied from a spreadsheet become one entry, like “1024 · Jane Doe · Sales”. The live count shows how many people you have and flags duplicate names, which you can keep as separate people or merge in one tap. For ticket-style draws, tap “Use numbers” to generate No. 1 to No. N.
- How to set up multiple prizes and how many to draw at once: Each prize has a name, an optional gift, a number of winners and a “per draw” choice of 1, 5, 10, All or a custom number; the arrows change the drawing order, up to 30 prizes. Give small prizes 10 per draw or All so a big giveaway takes one press, and keep the grand prize at 1 per draw for a slower reveal with a crown. If the winners add up to more than your list, the page warns you and offers two one-tap fixes: let past winners into the last prize, or trim the counts to fit.
- How to run the draw on a projector: Back on the stage, check the prize card and the line “Drawing from 36 people · picking 5”, press Start and the names roll; press STOP and the winners slow down and zoom in with confetti. On a laptop, Space, Enter and a presentation clicker’s next key all press the main button, and F goes full screen. The count drops as soon as the winners appear, they vanish from the rolling list, and once a prize is full the button turns into “Next prize”.
- How to redraw a winner who is not there: If nobody answers, tap “No-show” next to that name and tap again to confirm. The name is struck out, the prize has one open seat and the main button becomes “Redraw 1” — only that seat is drawn again, everyone else keeps their prize, and the new winner is tagged “Redraw”. A mistaken no-show can be undone, unless the seat has already been refilled or the person has since won another prize, in which case the page says why. Every draw, no-show and undo is kept in the timestamped log.
📖 Rules & variants
This is a host-run raffle for several prizes: one laptop or phone is the shared screen, the host presses the buttons and the room watches. It keeps three lists — everyone, the people still eligible for the current prize, and the winners. Once someone wins, they drop out of every later prize, so by default nobody wins twice; turning on “Allow past winners” for a prize lets earlier winners back in for that prize only, and still never twice within the same prize.
The winners are drawn and saved the moment Start is pressed, picked with equal odds from the eligible list; the rolling and slowing down only reveal them, so when you press STOP never changes who wins, and refreshing mid-roll shows the same winners instead of drawing again. The stage always shows “Drawing from N people · picking k” and the number drops right after each reveal so the room can follow along. There is no way to choose, weight or pre-set a winner.
How many are drawn at once is set per prize. One at a time gets a two-second slow-down, a crown and a big name; several at once reveal together after 1.2 seconds, laid out by count, with long names always shown in full and a scrollable grid for big batches. After the last prize is drawn the stage stays on the reveal and the button becomes “Raffle done · see winners”, so the grand prize gets its moment before the results page.
No-show, undo and back-in-pool each do one job. No-show cancels that win and opens exactly one seat to redraw; the person sits out the rest of the raffle by default. Undo is for mis-taps and only works while the seat is still open and restoring would not create a repeat winner. Back in pool lets a no-show take part in later prizes again, but never the prize they missed. Everything is timestamped in the log, and the results page lists winners, redraws and no-shows by prize.
The results page groups winners by prize; copy them as text for your team chat or download a CSV for Excel with prize, gift, number, name, status and time. After a rehearsal, use Clear results or “Run another raffle” to keep the names and prizes and start from zero; “Reset everything” deletes names, prizes and results. Every draw is saved in this browser automatically, so a refresh or a closed tab picks up where you left off, but nothing syncs to another computer — export before the party ends.
Draws use the browser’s pseudo-random generator with equal odds and no replacement. It is meant for office parties, team events and classrooms, not certified or legally binding drawings, and it is not a lottery or any real-money game. Names never leave your browser; if storage is blocked the raffle still runs and warns you that a refresh will lose the results.
