Box Push Puzzle
60 original box-pushing levels to play online — par moves shown, unlimited undo, free hints, every level unlocked
🕹️ How to play
- Start a level: Level 1 is ready the moment the page opens — no start button, no sign-up. Swipe the board or tap the arrow pad on a phone; use the arrow keys or WASD on a computer.
- Push boxes onto targets: Walk into a box to push it one square. Boxes can only be pushed, never pulled. When every box sits on a glowing target pad, the level is solved.
- Undo mistakes freely: Tap ↶ to step back — moves and pushes roll back together. Hold it to rewind quickly. Even Restart can be undone.
- Use a hint when stuck: Tap Hint once to see which box to move, twice for where to stand and which way to push, three times to watch a full solution. Hints are free; they only cap this attempt's stars.
📖 Rules & variants
Box pushing rules: you move one square up, down, left or right. Walking into a box pushes it one square if the square beyond is empty floor or a target. You can't pull, and you can't push two boxes at once or push a box into a wall. Bumping a wall costs no move.
Moves, pushes and par: every step is a move; a step that shoves a box is also a push. "Par N" is the fewest moves for that level, proven by our solver — so every level is guaranteed solvable. (The genre is often called Sokoban.)
Stars: finish at or under par for 3 stars; within par + 6 (or par + 30%, whichever is more) for 2 stars; any finish earns 1 star. Using hint 1 or 2 caps that attempt at 2 stars, watching the solution caps it at 1.
Deadlocks: a box pushed into a corner, or along a wall with no target on it, can never come back. The dead-spot warning greys such a box out; two boxes jammed together aren't flagged, but a hint will tell you how many moves to undo.
Levels: four tiers of 15 — Starter, Easy, Tricky, Master — all unlocked from the start. The level picker shows stars, best move count and unfinished games; replay any solved level to improve your best.
