🕹️ How to play

  1. How to draw lots online: The page opens with a tube already holding 30 classic fortune sticks, so there is nothing to set up - just tap Shake. The tube rattles, one stick jumps out and flips over to show a tier badge, the stick text and one line of advice. Tap anywhere during the animation to reveal it instantly.
  2. How to write your own lots: Tap Change tube, then Empty tube, and type one item per line. Add a space and x3 at the end of a line to put three identical sticks in the tube, and start a line with # to open a tier group that following lines belong to. A live counter shows how many entries and how many sticks you have; save and the tube is loaded.
  3. How to draw without repeats: Open Look inside and switch the mode to no-repeat: each stick you draw leaves the tube, the readout becomes Left N of M, and nothing comes up twice until the tube is empty. When it runs dry the screen says M of M drawn and the main button turns into Refill, which reshuffles a full tube without clearing your history.

📖 Rules & variants

This is a one-host, everyone-watches random tool: a draw takes 5 to 15 seconds and a typical session is three to ten draws. There is no score and no winner. Every draw is decided in your own browser with a Fisher-Yates shuffle - no server call at any point - and your tubes and history stay on this device without an account.

Share counts are the only way to weight a result, and they are always visible. Writing x3 after a line really does put three identical sticks in the tube; the cross-section table lists the share count and the exact chance of each tier, and the column adds up to precisely 100.0%. There are no hidden weights and no quiet dodging of the previous result - that would be rigging, not randomness.

The two modes cover two situations. With replacement (default) draws from the full tube every time, so the odds never move and repeats are perfectly normal - right for fortune sticks and forfeits you want to draw all evening. Without replacement suits raffles and running orders: each stick is used up and the tube eventually empties. In both modes a multi-stick draw (up to five) always returns different sticks.

Four built-in tubes hold 70 original lines: classic fortune sticks (30 across five tiers, each with a line of advice), a raffle tube (1 top prize, 3 second, 6 third, 20 blanks), small forfeits (12 all-ages, alcohol-free) and a running order (1-24). You can also turn on Good sticks only to remove the two bad tiers, or use Big view to fill the screen when drawing in front of a room.

❓ FAQ

Is an online lot draw actually random, or is it rigged?
It is genuinely random and cannot be rigged. The draw happens in your browser with a Fisher-Yates shuffle and never touches a server. Open Look inside and you can see how many sticks carry each result and the exact odds of the next draw, then run 10,000 simulated draws locally and compare the measured frequencies with the theoretical ones.
How do I draw random names or prizes without repeats?
Switch the mode to no-repeat inside Look inside. Every stick you draw is removed from the tube, the readout changes to Left N of M, and no result can come up twice until the tube is empty. Once it is, the screen shows M of M drawn and Refill reshuffles the whole tube - your history is kept.
How do I make one option more likely in a random picker?
Add a space and x3 to the end of that line and the tube gets three identical sticks, making that result three times as likely. The share count and the live percentage are both printed in the cross-section table, so the bias is visible to everyone. One line can hold up to 99 sticks and a tube up to 200; anything beyond that is trimmed with a notice.
What if I draw a bad fortune stick - can I keep only the good ones?
Yes. Look inside has a Good sticks only switch that removes the two lowest tiers and tells you how many sticks it took out (10 of the classic tube's 30, leaving 20). It is off by default because the full five tiers are what makes the draw feel real, and every low stick still ends with one small, doable suggestion.
Can I save a custom draw tube and share it with friends?
Yes. Build one under Change tube, Empty tube - one item per line, x3 for share counts, # for tiers - and it is saved on this device, up to eight tubes. Copy tube link packs the whole tube into a URL, so whoever opens it gets the same sticks. No account, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
How do you run a raffle draw or a random running order?
For a raffle, load the raffle tube (or write your prizes and set share counts with x) and use no-repeat so each prize is used up and nobody wins twice. For a running order, use the 1-24 tube and draw one at a time until it empties. Tap Big view when drawing in front of people - the remaining count and the last 30 results stay on screen for everyone to check.

⚠️ Sticks and results are generated at random on your own device, for entertainment only. This page contains no drinking content.
