Gold Claw
A one-tap gold mining game: the claw swings, you tap to drop it, and you haul enough gold in 60 seconds to clear the level
🕹️ How to play
- How to start: The claw is already swinging when the page opens — no start button. Tap the mine (or press ↓ / Space) when it points at the nugget you want and it shoots out in a straight line. The 60-second clock doesn't run until your first drop.
- How hauling and scoring work: The claw grabs the first thing it touches and reels it in. Heavier things come up slower: a small nugget takes under a second, a big one almost three. Money only counts when the item reaches the top; the bar at the top shows how close you are to the level goal.
- How to clear a level and use the shop: Reach the goal within 60 seconds to clear the level, then visit the shop for dynamite or a one-level boost. Miss the goal and you simply retry that level — same map, with your wallet and dynamite reset to how they were when the level began.
📖 Rules & variants
Item values: small nugget $50 (lightest, fastest), gold nugget $150, big nugget $500 (heavy — about 3.5x slower to reel), diamond $600 (small, light and the best value), small rock $20, big rock $60 (heavy and nearly worthless), mystery bag (random $40–$800, or +1 dynamite) and the TNT barrel, which explodes on contact and wipes out everything nearby for $0. Loaded reel speed = 1500 ÷ (1 + weight); empty 1500; shooting out 1000 (units per second on a 1000-wide mine).
Level goals: level L needs 600 + 150 × (L − 1) — $600 on level 1, $750 on level 2, capped at $1,800 from level 9. The goal counts this level's income, not your total wallet. Diamonds appear from level 2, bags from 3, barrels from 4, and deeper levels add more rocks and bury the diamonds lower. Every map is checked at generation with a 36-second time budget to hold at least 1.25x the goal.
The last pull: the clock starts on your first drop. If the claw is carrying something when time runs out, it reels in at 3x speed and still scores. If it is still shooting out or coming back empty, it is pulled in and scores nothing. Example: $650 on level 2 with a $150 nugget on the hook at 0:00 → $800, cleared; if that shot hadn't caught anything, you finish $100 short. Once the goal is met you can cash out early while the claw is up — leftover time isn't paid out.
Dynamite: you start with 1 stick and can hold 9. The button only lights up while you're reeling something in; it destroys that item (no money) and the claw snaps back at empty speed. It pays off most on a big rock hooked deep down: blowing it up 1 second into the pull saves almost 3 seconds.
Shop items (next level only): three random offers after each cleared level, with prices rising per level. Dynamite (+1, kept between levels), Power gloves (reel loaded claws 1.5x faster), Rock polisher (rocks worth x3), Gem lens (diamonds worth x1.5) and Four-leaf clover (better mystery bags). Skipping the shop to bank money for your best wallet is a valid choice.
Tips and 2-player mode: grab cheap, close nuggets first; only chase a far big nugget if the clock allows; don't fire blind in the last 5 seconds; keep away from gold next to a barrel. In 2-player mode two people share one phone — P1 drops from the left button, P2 from the right — racing for the same mine for 30, 60 or 90 seconds.
