🕹️ How to play

  1. Pick a topic: Choose Me today, Love, Work & study or Friends & family. Type your question if you like (up to 30 characters) or leave it blank. Turn on reversed cards for the advanced version.
  2. Shuffle and pick 3 by feel: Tap Shuffle & start. The 22 cards spread face down; tap three and they land in the Past, Present and Future slots in that order. Can't decide? Tap Draw for me.
  3. Flip, read, choose your starting point: Flip each card (or Flip all) to see its name, three keywords and a line for its position. Once all three are up you get one storyline for the spread; pick the card you want to start with to get the matching action step.

📖 Rules & variants

The deck is the 22 major arcana, from The Fool to The World, with original artwork. One shuffle sets the order of all 22 cards and drawn cards are not put back, so your three cards are always different. Picking by hand and Draw for me are equally fair.

Positions: card one is the Past (where this comes from), card two the Present (where you are now), card three the Future (where it's heading). Each card shows three keywords and a sentence tailored to your topic and its position.

How the storyline works: every card has a bright, neutral or challenging tone. The past–present–future tone pattern (27 combinations) picks one line that connects the three, for example Death → Temperance → The Star reads as "Climbing out of a low point".

Reversed cards (advanced, off by default): each card has an even chance of landing upside down, meaning its energy is stuck or turned inward. Bright cards become neutral, neutral cards turn into a challenge, and challenging cards ease off. The art flips and a Rev tag appears; it isn't a bad sign.

Your starting point: after all three cards are face up, choose one to start with. It doesn't change the cards or the storyline; it changes the action step you take away, so pick something you could really do this week. The choice locks once made.

Tips: ask "what can I do about…" rather than "will it happen", and read one question once rather than redrawing. Challenging cards (The Hanged Man, Death, The Devil, The Tower, The Moon) come with a gentle note about change, never a literal reading. At a party, pass the phone around and let everyone draw once.

❓ FAQ

What does a past present future tarot spread mean?
It's a three-card spread where the first card is your past, the second your present and the third your future. Read each card's keywords first, then the storyline that links them, such as Death, Temperance and The Star becoming "Climbing out of a low point".
Is the Death tarot card bad?
No. The Death card stands for a chapter closing and a turn toward something new, not anything literal. In this reading it comes with a gentle note, and its action step is to give what has already ended a proper close so there's room to start again.
What does a reversed tarot card mean?
A reversed card usually means its energy is blocked or turned inward, which isn't automatically bad. Reversals are off by default here; when on, bright cards turn neutral, neutral cards become a challenge, and challenging cards show that the hard part is easing.
How often should you do a tarot reading on the same question?
Once is best: redrawing the same question again and again tends to give mixed answers. This page keeps your last 5 readings and gently suggests looking back if you draw the same topic a third time within 10 minutes, without ever blocking you.
What questions should I ask in a love tarot reading?
Questions that start with "what can I do" work better than "will they", for example "what can I do to reconnect". Choose the Love topic and every line and action step switches to relationship wording; your question is only echoed back and never changes the draw.
Is a free online tarot reading real?
It's a shuffle of a real 22-card major arcana deck, but it's meant for entertainment and reflection, not prediction. Think of it as a prompt to look at a situation from another angle and pick one small step you can actually take this week.

⚠️ Original entertainment content: cards are drawn at random, for fun only, and nothing here predicts the future or counts as advice. Your readings stay in your browser only and can be cleared at any time.
