👆 Click Speed Test
5, 10 or 30 second CPS test - see clicks per second and totals, or pass the phone to compete
🕹️ How to play
- Tap the big area to start: Pick a duration (10s by default, plus 5s / 30s), tap the big area in the middle, and a countdown starts immediately — that first tap already counts as click 1, no “ready, set, go” wait.
- Click as fast as you can: Before the countdown ends, tap the whole area as fast as possible. The screen shows the seconds remaining and your live click count, glowing hotter the faster you go, and turns red for the final 3-second sprint.
- See your CPS and rating: When the countdown hits zero it locks and settles, showing your CPS (clicks per second), total clicks and a fun rating. Beating your best for that duration triggers a celebration.
- Play again or pass the phone: Tap “Try again” for another round, or switch to “Pass & compete” so everyone takes a turn and the page ranks all players by CPS to crown the fastest hands.
📖 Rules & variants
Basics: one round is a fixed-duration clicking sprint, 10 seconds by default (5s / 30s available). The first tap on the big area both starts the countdown and counts as click 1; when it hits zero the game locks and settles CPS = total clicks ÷ seconds, plus your total clicks and a rating.
Deadline: no clicks count from the instant the countdown reaches zero, so taps landing after the deadline are never added — frantic clicking can't sneak in post-timeout hits. Taps after settlement don't count either.
Scoring & rating (for fun, not a scientific verdict): under 4 CPS is “Take it easy”, 4–5.9 “Average”, 6–7.9 “Nice speed”, 8–9.9 “Fast hands”, 10+ “Lightning”. Most people hit around 6 CPS by hand; jitter/butterfly techniques go higher.
Per-duration records: 5s, 10s and 30s each keep their own best CPS, and a new record only compares against the same duration — burst and stamina distributions differ, so they never overwrite each other. Records live only in your browser.
Pass & compete (party variant): switch to contest mode, add 2–12 players, everyone plays one round at the same duration, then the page ranks by CPS descending and highlights the fastest; a tie for top CPS makes them co-champions. Contest scores live in this session only — never stored, never sent online.
