🕹️ How to play

  1. How to play the prize grid lottery: The page opens with a ready-made Party prizes grid. Tap the gem in the middle: the light runs clockwise round the eight slots for four laps, slows down, and the slot it stops on is your prize. The result also shows in the centre and in the bar below the grid.
  2. How to use your own prizes: Tap Edit prizes. The eight rows match the grid, starting top-left and going clockwise. For each row type a name (up to 12 characters), choose Prize or Miss, and set a weight and a stock; the live chance is shown at the end of the row. A blank name makes an empty slot that can never be drawn. Every change is saved in your browser.
  3. How to show everyone the odds: Tap Odds to open the table: each slot's weight, how many are left and its current percentage, always adding up to 100%. The table freezes while the lights are running and only updates after the reveal. On a phone in landscape the table stays open next to the grid.
  4. How to draw faster: Pick a speed below the grid: Show takes about 3.3 seconds for an audience, Quick takes under a second, and ×10 draws up to ten times in one tap and lists the results in order with a tally. A ten-pull stops early if the prizes run out.
  5. How a round ends: When every prize slot is used up the results card opens on its own; with unlimited prizes, tap End round. The card shows how many times each slot came up plus the full history, which you can copy. Reset & play again restores all stock and keeps your prizes.

📖 Rules & variants

How the odds work: a slot's chance is its weight divided by the total weight of every slot that can still be drawn. Empty slots and prizes that have run out don't count. In the default pool the weights add up to 21, so the Mystery Gift with weight 1 has about a 4.8% chance; once it's gone the total drops to 20 and every other slot's chance goes up. Percentages are rounded to one decimal place and always total exactly 100%.

When the result is decided: the prize is picked by those public odds the instant you tap Spin and saved in your browser; the lights only act it out, and the last step always lands on that slot. Refreshing or switching tabs mid-spin just shows the same result — nothing is redrawn. There is no way to fix a winner, hide a weight or rig a slot: the odds table is the only set of odds there is.

Stock and miss slots: each prize can have 1–999 copies or be unlimited. Every win uses one up; at zero the slot turns gray, says All gone and leaves the draw. A Miss slot is the classic 'try again' square — unlimited by default, it just gives a little shake and shows the combined chance of all miss slots. Two miss slots per grid is plenty.

When a round ends: as soon as no prize slot can be drawn (only misses left also counts). If any prize is unlimited, tap End round yourself. You can rename slots and change weights or stock in the middle of a round; past results keep the old name, and stock can't be set below what has already been drawn this round.

Four starter templates: Party prizes (15 prizes plus 2 miss slots, a full round takes 3–5 minutes), Party forfeits (7 forfeits and 1 free pass, everyone takes one spin), Classroom (stickers, homework pass, team leader for a day, all limited) and Treat myself (8 unlimited small rewards). Switching templates clears the current round after a confirmation.

House rules people use: forfeit rounds where whoever lands Free Pass skips their turn; one spin per correct answer in class, with stock equal to the rewards you brought; open the odds table on the big screen before an office giveaway; or reward yourself with one spin per finished task.

❓ FAQ

How do I set the odds in a prize grid lottery?
You set odds with weights: every slot starts at 1 and a higher weight wins more often. The editor shows each slot's live percentage, which is its weight divided by the total weight of the slots still in play. To remove a prize entirely, clear its name — weights can't go below 1.
Can a prize only be won once in a prize draw?
Yes — set its stock to 1 and it leaves the draw after the first win. The slot turns gray, and the remaining slots' odds are recalculated automatically so the table still adds up to 100%. Switch stock to Unlimited for prizes that can come up any number of times.
Is an online prize draw rigged or truly random?
This one picks the prize at random by the published weights the moment you tap, and the lights only show it. There is no setting to choose a winner or hide a weight, the odds table freezes during the spin, and a refresh shows the same result instead of drawing again.
How do I add a 'try again' slot to a prize wheel or grid?
Switch the slot type to Miss and it becomes a try-again slot that can be drawn any number of times. Name it whatever you like — So close, Next time — and the reveal shows the combined chance of all miss slots. One or two per grid keeps it fun.
Can I draw 10 prizes at once?
Yes — choose ×10 and tap the middle once to draw up to ten times in a row. Stock is used up and the odds are recalculated after every pick, the results are listed in order with a tally, and the pull stops early if the prizes run out.
What are good prizes for a party raffle game?
Small things you can hand out on the spot work best: snacks, a bubble tea treat, picking the next song, a skip-a-dare pass. Make the big prize stock 1 with weight 1, add more of the small ones, and keep one or two miss slots for suspense.

⚠️ For fun and party use only — not for gambling or paid raffles. You set the prizes and odds yourself, and your history is stored only in your browser.
